It genuinely feels like going to someone's stylish Bangkok home rather than a café. Khlong San gives it an entirely different atmosphere from central Bangkok.
Bang Rak and the Riverside: 12 Places to Ride To
Charoen Krung and the Chao Phraya, from the Bang Rak congee counters down to the Rama III bridges. The riverside is where Bangkok's sunset actually happens, and most of the good vantage points cost nothing: a bridge deck, a pier, a bazaar car park. Ride down for the light and stay for dinner.
Every pin here is on the city map too. Open Bang Rak and the Riverside on the full Bangkok map, or drag the map above and the address bar keeps your view.
Best viewpoint for the Big Buddha: the pedestrian crossing bridge near Lat Ya Soi 6. Looking west toward Wat Paknam, the Buddha appears huge above the Bangkok buildings.

Riverside viewpoint near Bang Kho Laem - much closer to the water, and far less tourist-postcard than the Rattanakosin riverfront.
Walking bridge; Chaloem Phrakiat Forest Park.
Rama III riverside / pier area.
ICONSIAM riverside - modern Bangkok.

A preserved early/mid-20th-century Bangkok house showing how a comfortable Bangkok family actually lived - furniture, rooms, objects, gardens and household details. Free entry.
Not beautiful, not famous, not Top-10 Bangkok. But you can walk, eat, browse local businesses and see a completely different side of Bang Rak.
Maha Set is one of those Bang Rak side streets where food combines with a walk through old commercial Bangkok.
Particularly good because of the time - go late.
More an art and craft house surrounded by greenery than a conventional coffee shop, and Khlong San lets you combine it with the older Thonburi neighbourhood.
